It begins with the process of learning about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and it's devastating prognosis. Armed with that information, your eyes are now wide open...instead of dismissing your child's fatigue as simply the result of a 'late night', you see the disease rearing it's ugly head and taking more and more away from your child. Jesse's Journey began with parents who know all to well the overwhelming need to do something... anything... everything to save their son. Frank and Kelly understood... thus the decision to make Jesse's Journey the beneficiary of Tory's Tourney.
TORY'S TOURNEY FOR JESSE'S JOURNEY
That's the question that led to the birth of Jesse's Journey. Jesse Davidson of London, Ontario was born in 1980 to John and Sherene Davidson. The story of Jesse's Journey began to unfold in the summer of 1995 when John pushed Jesse in his wheelchair across Ontario to raise $1.5M. In 1998 John walked across Canada to raise an additional $2M in vital research funds to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Frank and Kelly have joined these inspiring parents in the quest for a cure because 'parents should not outlive their children'. John's tireless fight goes on and challenges us to do all that we can and more to support Jesse's Journey.
